PeerBoard: Introducing the Brand

PeerBoard, a plug & play community-as-a-service platform. Powerful community tools, modern forum software, real-time conversations, intelligent feed all that is inside the platform.

In just a few short years, they’ve helped thousands of companies to benefit from building their own communities.

PeerBoard offered no-code integrations for individuals in search of a fast and easy solution. It has WordPress, Shopify and Thinkific plugins.
In April 4, 2023 Peerboard was acquired by Docebo Inc. (NASDAQ:DCBO; TSX:DCBO)

The Challenges

During the process, we faced several challenges, including:

Their website and organic traffic were stuck on a plateau for more than 6 months
Also, startup needed PR covering and mentions from big brands and well-known Mass Media websites, but had a limited budget
The content they were writing was based on the personal opinion of their internal writer who was an expert in the niche - as the result, organic traffic was not growing
Half the of the content was published on Medium.com - that gave some of the traffic on site, but didn’t help the website to grow with product pages
Team was new to the market and had no partnership collaborations and network of exports and partner brands
Platform had a lot of UGC content, but it was not indexed and did not give any juice to the website Trust Rate of organic traffic
Strategic Approach

We took a number of steps to address each of these issues to achieve the agreed desired outcomes, including:

Made a PR Topic Resaerch and found 23 topics that will have the biggest chances to get covered by journalists - on the 4th place we had topic “Online Community Statisitics”
Created a 5-step Roadmap how to release a data source Report to kill two birds with one stone - get mentions from journalists and big brands, and increase Domain rate and organic traffic on the website
Made an SEO traffic research with keyword research, keyword grouping, competitors gap analysis and SEO Strategy and prioritised all topics according to potential leads Vs. costs - two topics in Google US had the biggest ROI: “buildind a community” (0.51) and “community management” (0.16)
Created specs to migrate content from Medium to the website and rewrite it to be unique - during 4 months all content was migrated.
Included expert and partner collaboration for the ‘Online Community Statistics’ Report with existing fan clients and new potential ones for citations for the report.
Prepared specs for tech team to index all existing content on clients communities where it was possible and ethical to increase the mentions, links and content weight.

The Result

Once the changes were implemented, we recorded a remarkable increase in organic traffic to the website, resulting from our comprehensive optimisations. This growth not only highlighted immediate results but also then demonstrated sustained progress over time. To clarify, in 2023 there was a staggering 600% increase in organic traffic when compared year-on-year with 2022.
